Townsend Green Team
Townsend Leather has recently initiated a Green Team. The Green Team was founded out of the passion, interest, and great ideas that so many of Townsend's employees had presented about ways for Townsend to reduce its waste and energy usage and about ways to increase its positive impact on the world. The Green Team really grew from a place of wanting to take ideas and push them to the next step by giving people a forum to take action.
The Green Team will help facilitate new green practices at Townsend on an ongoing basis and will encourage from its members an effort of continuous education and growth. So far, The Green Team has successfully realized a recycling program for all of Townsend's buildings. The increased awareness has also led to a measurable decrease in paper usage and a decrease in our overall waste.
"Green" to Townsend Leather means looking at our company in a holistic way and exploring new ways to improve our relationship with our community, our company, our customers, our earth, and our future. Townsend is committed to further defining our green message and to hearing what green means to you.
